The plot with Carmen?re, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot vines at the heart of the vineyard was planted at the turn of the 20th century. That makes it one of the oldest sites in Alto Adige still preserved. In order to maintain this treasure with its old and unique DNA, young vines were obtained through selection massale witch which the vineyard extended.
It’s farmed according to biodynamic methods of viticulture, Demeter certification.

Tasting Notes:
Colour: cherry-red with ruby shimmer
Aroma: quite pronounced, slightly aromatic, fruity (raspberry, blackberry, cherry), woody, spicy, earthy
^ full bodied, well-balanced, precise, refined bitter
Best to be drunk: 5-20 years
